Review: GRM Pickleball Paddle Set

Here is another review of GRM pickleball paddle for you Pickle People!

It’s great to be back, and many of you have asked about reviews of entry-level paddles at a more reasonable price. No need to look further! My review of the GRM Pickleball Paddles as a whole follows my purchase of the set. I haven’t been posting as much recently, but now that I have more time, I hope to resume posting more often.

In any case, let’s move on to the review!

GRM Pickleball Paddles Set

GRM Pickleball Paddles

Power: 7/10

All in all, this is a great power paddle. There is a polymer core in this paddle that almost feels like Nomex, just like many of the more budget paddles out there. Nomex is usually known as a material that is very hard all around the court, but for those of you who are unfamiliar with it, it is a material that has a very distinct feel and makes the ball “pop” off the paddles and adds a great deal of power whenever it comes to the game. My experience with this paddle was very positive and I was very pleased with its power.

Control: 6/10

As an entry-level paddle, I found this paddle to be very responsive and controlled. As with most entry-level paddles, it doesn’t have a huge sweet spot, but if you hit in the middle, it always goes just where I want it to go. Controlling fastballs at the net can be difficult due to the core of the paddle, but you can manage it.

Forgiveness: 7/10

Compared to many other paddles I’ve used at this price point, this paddle seemed to be more forgiving. It costs around $60 for this set, which means you’re paying $30 per paddle. Despite using a $100+ paddle, I was able to play as well as my friends who used lesser paddles. When you use more entry-level paddles, some balls may get away from you.

Overall: 20/30

  • Exceptional value
  • Beginners and intermediates can use it
  • Excellent in every way

grm pickleball paddlesSeeing new entry-level options to get people playing is always good. I love the paddle set. Neither beginner nor intermediate paddlers will be disappointed with this paddle. It is a great paddle for all-around play. There is nothing too flashy about the design and it is very sleek. You won’t gain any additional control from the face material, but you won’t be hindered either. My favorite thing about this paddle was the comfortable handle and how much fun it was to play with.
